Lakes, Nature and Monasteries tour: 7 Days Tour

Day 1 Elsen Tasarkhai

Amidst the rugged mountains of central Mongolia lies a surreal anomaly—a vast expanse of golden sand dunes known as Bayan Gobi, or Elsen Tasarkhai to locals. Stretching 80 kilometers south of Khögnö Khan National Park, it's split by a main road into Mongol Els and Khugnu Tarnyn Els.

But what's truly remarkable is what lies beneath the surface: hidden moisture nurtures lush shrubs like willow and elm, defying the desert surroundings. Surrounded by Mount Khugnu Khan and Mount Ikh Mongol, this oasis is a captivating blend of sand, hills, and a small forest by a winding river.
